A lot of my artist friends laugh when they see that I still press CDS but I know a lot of you out there still drive that old whip without bluetooth or mp3 connection so these are for you! Get yours while supplies last
In 2020, I created a series of paintings called SMILE—a tribute to artists and actors I admired who battled with mental health, addiction, and depression. Many of them didn’t make it through, and this project became a personal healing journey for me as someone who’s faced similar struggles.
Each piece was intentionally time-capped to 1–2 hours as part of a practice in letting go of perfection and embracing the process. I painted them all using reference photos of the subjects smiling—though, in some cases, finding a genuine smile was surprisingly difficult.
These works have been sitting in storage for years, but I feel it’s time to let them go. I’d rather they be seen and appreciated than hidden away.
I won’t be creating any more, and each one will be personally signed. Once they’re gone, that’s it.
